Thunderbirds are massive birds that are highly sensitive to danger and have the power to ofcreate storms as they fly. They are native to the deserts of America and their feathers have been used in wandmaking. In Fantasitc Beasts and Where to find them the thunderbird is a notable figure within the film. During Newt Schamanders visit to New York, he hopes to find a female thunderbird to breed with the male in order to save the species as it is very endagered. After going to the city however he learns of everyhting going on there and ends up staying to help. Later on towards the end of the vist he has there he releases the thunnderbird into the sky to go three and as well as to help the American Wizards who are trying to obliterate the memories of what was gonig on. Later on it is learned that Albus Dumbledore purposley told Newt Schamander about the female thunderbird in hopes that he would go there, and later on learn of Grindewald.
