Fortresses are a type of Building that you can see on the Map, or that you can access via the Knight Bus. A Fortress is where you can attempt to complete a Fortress Challenge.

Types[]

There are three types of Fortresses; a standard Fortress and a Sponsored Fortress.

Entering a Fortress[]

To enter a Fortress you must be physically within range of the Fortress on the Map. When a Fortress enters your Aura, the Fortress will slightly grow in size to indicate that you can now enter the Fortress.

Inside the Fortress[]

Chamber Selection

Once you have entered the Fortress you have the option to enter a Chamber to attempt a Fortress Challenge.

Before you do so, you can see how many players are currently waiting to undertake a Challenge. If someone from your Friends List is in one of the Chambers, that Chamber will be marked with a yellow icon.

Eg. In the example pictured here, the following can be determined...

  • There is one player waiting in Ruins Chamber I
  • There are two players waiting in Ruins Chamber II
  • One or both of the players in Ruins Chamber II is a Friend
  • There are no other players currently in Ruins Chamber III
  • There is one player in Ruins Chamber IV

You can preview what the possible Rewards for each Chamber will be by tapping on the Challenge Icon on the right of each Chamber.

Entering a Chamber[]

To enter a Chamber, tap on the Chamber you wish to enter. You must select a Runestone from your inventory to spend on the Fortress Challenge. This Runestone will be used up regardless of whether you succeed or fail at the Challenge. After you have selected a Runestone you will then proceed to the Lobby of that Chamber. The Runestone you select can be changed at any time up until the timer runs out. If you select a Runestone and the timer runs out before you change it, then whatever you had selected at that time is the Runestone that will be used.

Lobby[]

Lobby

Once you enter a Chamber you will see at the top of the screen the name of the Chamber you are in, the Difficulty Rating, and a Timer that indicates how much time is left before the Challenge will commence.

You will also be able to see the Username and Profession of all the players currently waiting in the Lobby with you, as well as the type and level of Runestone they are going to use to undertake the Challenge.

The order in which the players entered the Chamber is the order (from left to right) that they will be placed within the Challenge at the top of the screen once the Challenge begins. Their order is indicated by the colour of the icon next to their name.
